Please Spread The Word!
Our District-level Free Throw Competition occurs this coming Sunday, 12 March, beginning at 1:30 Pm at Monsignor Lara Youth Center, Nativity Catholic Church.
Our Host Council is Mother Seton Council 6724; however, this can only succeed if we have Volunteers and HELP from 100% of the Councils in our District.
Therefore, FIRST – Spread the Word and get your finalists to the event – Call and confirm...it works!
SECOND – VOLUNTEERS (and we need them) please come to the event (wearing your Council Shirts and Shoes appropriate for the Basketball Courts) and SHOWTIME of 12:30 Pm to assist in
Setup, Administration, a quick rehearsal of the procedures and assignment to Score-Keeping Teams – and ready for the Contestants at 1:30 pm.
PLEASE BRING BASKETBALLS IF YOU HAVE THEM (THIS WILL MAKE THE EVENT MORE EFFICIENT & TIMELY) – Clipboards might help just to be sure we are covered.
FINALLY, Please scan and post the Score Sheets for your Finalists onto our District DROP BOX in the Folder labeled ‘BASKETBALL FREE THROW FINALISTS’ under your individual Council
Folders I created for each of you under that label, by THURSDAY evening. Please send me a confirmation email when you’ve completed this. I will compile the names and categories of our contestants, which will
allow me to prepare a master spreadsheet so that we can efficiently keep track of the contestants
from start to finish, similar to the way we ran our District Soccer Challenge last year.
I know this will be a really good event for our District and especially for our Competitors – and what a great opportunity to demonstrate to our Community what the Knights are all about!
